ダンパー(減衰装置)の劣化が主な原因です。サスペンションは新車時(新品)をピークに、ダンパーの中にあるオイルや、部品が劣化していきます。
一般的に、ストリートでの使用を前提とした場合、10,000kmから20,000km(または2年に1度)のオーバーホール or 交換が推奨されています。

もちろん使用環境によって個人差はありますが、何十年、何万キロも使うことを前提に設計されていないのです。
同じバイク、同じライダー、同じ環境でおこなった高負荷走行テスト。
走行距離が伸びるにつれて、オイルの汚れがひどくなり、オイル粘度が低下します。いわゆる水っぽい状態(シャバシャバな状態)になるわけです。
するとダンパー本来の役割が果たせなくなり、サスペンションが急激に伸び・縮みしたり、路面の凹凸を通過した際、バイクが跳ね続けて不安定になります。
これがダンパーが劣化した状態、リアサスがへたった状態です。
乗り心地が悪くなるだけではなく、バイクの運動性能(安全性)におおきく影響します。

Spindle rod (damper rod)
The spindle rod, which requires abrasion resistance and smooth stroke, is made by heat-treating the highest quality high-tensile steel to achieve outstanding strength and durability.
The surface is polished and mirror-finished in micron units, and then hard chrome-plated to increase the surface hardness.

Stepless preload (initial) adjustment is possible by using the attached tool.

イニシャル調整とは
スプリングにかけるテンションのこと。
あらかじめスプリングを縮めて、ダンパーのストローク位置を調整するために使用します。
公道を走行する場合、一般的にダンパーラバーに接触しない程度(底付きしない。20%ほど余裕を持たせる)が理想です。

What is the assumed standard weight?
"It is the weight of the rider that the manufacturer assumed by design.
If the rider weighs much more than the standard weight , the springs must be replaced with harder ones or the original performance will not be achieved.
(The theory is the same for all suspensions, whether genuine or external.)
Spring replacement is not supported for this product due to high cost. note that.

International A-class rider. While running a motorcycle shop, he participated in the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race for 16 years.
